The Alcatel-Lucent Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Alcatel-Lucent and it leads the company's charitable activities. With a focus on volunteerism, the Foundation's mission is to support the commitment of Alcatel-Lucent to social responsibility by serving and enhancing the communities where its employees and customers live and work.

To accomplish its mission, the Foundation manages grants and employee volunteerism on a global level. It receives its income from the corporation – Alcatel-Lucent – whose name it bears. However, legally the Foundation is an independent, charitable, non-profit and private entity and is governed by its own board of trustees that is separate from the corporate board of directors.

Global Foundation grants are dedicated to the main focus areas of the Foundation and are managed by the Foundation. We currently are refining the strategy of the Alcatel-Lucent Foundation and we invite you to check our site in the future for the latest information regarding our grant making program.

Cercle Passeport Télécoms
In 2006, in partnership with six telecom companies (SFR, Motorola, Ericsson, Nokia, Siemens and Nokia Siemens Networks) and with French public institutions, Alcatel-Lucent launched Cercle Passeport Télécoms. This program is aimed at helping students from lower socio-economic areas in France.
