RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

India is one of the major hubs for Alcatel-Lucent’s global R&D. India R&D has over 2,500 engineers and scientists working from 400,000 square feet of world-class fully connected labs across 3 cities - Gurgaon, Chennai and Bangalore.

Examples of R&D activities include:

Wireless Access [WCDMA, CDMA/EVDO, Small cells] Fixed Networks [Fixed Access FTTU, DSLAM and EMS]
IP Routing & Transport [IP Edge, Core and Aggregation routers, IPTV and Network management for IP & Optics] IP Platforms [Motive, Payments & charging, NOS and OSS]
IP Transformation supporting contracts and future engagement with both Indian and global customers  

 

REPAIR AND EXCHANGE SERVICES (RES)

India is the second largest after sales maintenance services hub in APAC for Alcatel-Lucent. Alcatel-Lucent currently has two RES centers in India, Gurgaon and Bangalore.
Technology portfolios include Optics, GSM, Switching and CDMA technologies.
The centers in Gurgaon and Bangalore support Indian customers indigenously in addition to being a  business efficient, knowledge based competence hub for customers located in Europe and elsewhere.
