Alcatel-Lucent India has been present in India since 1982. With its partnership with ITI, Alcatel-Lucent was the first company to manufacture Digital Switching Equipment in India. Since then, as a leader in mobile, fixed, IP and optics technologies, and a pioneer in applications and services, we have offered complete solutions that help Indian service providers and customers realize the potential of a connected world.

• Today, half of India’s fixed and CDMA wireless lines are powered by Alcatel-Lucent technology.

More than 18% of total Indian wireless subscribers are in Alcatel-Lucent powered and managed networks.

 

Research & Development

India is one of the major hubs for Alcatel-Lucent’s global R&D ecosystem. India R&D has over 3,000 engineers and scientists working from 650,000 square feet of world-class fully connected labs across 4 cities - Gurgaon, Noida, Chennai and Bangalore.

Repair and Exchange Services (RES)

India is the second largest after sales maintenance services hub in APAC for Alcatel-Lucent. Alcatel-Lucent currently has two RES centers in India, Gurgaon and Bangalore.
Technology portfolios include Optics, GSM, Switching and CDMA technologies.

The centers in Gurgaon and Bangalore support Indian customers indigenously in addition to being a cost-effective, quality-driven competence hub for customers located in Europe and elsewhere.
